I was just reminded today about how close we are to Easter. Maybe we should be practicing our Box Jumps, Broad Jumps, Jump in and out of tires to get ready! Always fun stuff in store. This week we have a birthday to celebrate instead. Happy Birthday on Thursday to Amber. She picked fun stuff to celebrate with!

For birthdays and special occasions we pick wods that are fun to do. That’s necessary to keep everyone involved and to keep things mixed up a bit. On a daily basis, we don’t get to pick and choose so much. The WODs are varied in time, in weight, in movements to work together for our good health and better fitness. When you substitute a movement, it should be due to an injury that won’t let you move in that way. If it’s for lack of skill, the movement should be scaled appropriately so that you are working toward achieving that skill. The strength WODs also have a purpose, so don’t skip those. Do less rounds of the metcon if you run out of time. We are working on being fit across all different domains! That might mean doing some things you don’t really like. Ewww!
